  3. I blog at http://worldbeneaththefeet.wordpress.com. Of course, I am an amateur and travel/ click/ blog depending on time availability, but if you think we could collaborate on some project(s), let me know.It could be an online collaboration, with both of us providing inputs from either end on a common platform. I blog on info that might be useful to people , such as the recent one on Dilli Haat: http://worldbeneaththefeet.wordpress.com/2014/11/04/dilli-haat-beautiful-mini-india/ . We could work on some similar projects.

  11. I am very unhappy to see the comments from Mr. Vikram Kapoor. I dont know how he is saying that Kashmir is not a safe place for girls I m Totally disagreed with his comment.I am a Travel Agent as well as Hotelier and let me inform you that.Kashmir is the only state of India where Tourism Department have very very strict rules then other states and for your Kind information there is not a single case so far where a Tourist female has been harassed while as there are so many cases where girls even foreign have been gang raped in the places which my Friend Mr. Kapoor thinks are the safer places.

    1. Hi Sujatha,

You don't need to be scared at all! Hampi is a great place for solo travelers. It doesn't matter whether you look tiny or huge. What matters is your confidence - have loads of it. If you don't have it, fake it.

You can stay at Shanthi guest house, or you can check out guest houses on TripAdvisor.

You can take an overnight train from Bangalore to Hospet station, and from Hospet you can take an auto to Virupeksha temple.

Carry cash according to the number of days you are planning to stay. If it's a 3-4 day trip, you wouldn't need more than 6k, which depends on your accommodation also. Try to choose accommodation which is less than 1,200 rupees.

Don't fret too much. Just read a lot about Hampi. Be confident and careful at the same time. Keep your people at home informed about your stay and whereabouts.

      All the best!
